“On life’s journey faith is nourishment, virtuous deeds are a shelter, wisdom is the light by day and right mindfulness is the protection by night. If a man lives a pure life, nothing can destroy him.”
2017 is proving to be a mighty teacher for me. Politics (and there are so so so many of those), I am resigning to a masterful lesson in humility. I am not at all certain how much more of my sight in the left-eye will return. I have tried to refuse to concentrate on that. But I find when I am waiting quietly in the Dr.’s office that all my attention is redirected to scold hard look at accepting the undesirable. I am able to see from that eye, but I cannot make out detail.
i don’t have words of wisdom today. Nor am I reposting a Buddhist saying. I am merely validating how I feel today and affirming my resolve to move forward in the best way I am able. Whatever I am able to see, it remains a gift.
